LIVONIA, Mich. – On top of all the accolades Miguel Cabrera has racked up in his 10-year big league career, the Triple Crown winner can now add his own brand of salsa to the mix.
On Monday, Cabrera announced the arrival of his original salsa brand, "Miggy's Salsa," at the Meijer store in Livonia. The product was created to help raise money for The Miguel Cabrera Foundation, aiding youth baseball programs in Detroit as well as Venezuela.
With three different varieties -- mild, medium and hot -- Miggy's Salsa is only available for a limited time and is exclusively at Detroit, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids' Meijer locations.
Cabrera founded the Miguel Cabrera Foundation to help kids and families utilize baseball as a path to success. The foundation's mission is to aid youth development programs and community ballpark renovations.
