Detroit Tigers 2014 Winter Caravan on the move

DETROIT – The 2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan is set for Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24, and features an exciting lineup of appearances in Detroit and around the state of Michigan.

Tigers President, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager David Dombrowski, Vice President/Assistant General Manager Al Avila, Manager Brad Ausmus, coaches, players, broadcasters and Detroit's favorite mascot PAWS, will take part in a two-day journey traveling in two buses and an additional dozen vehicles, across the region, spreading baseball fever to fans of all ages.

The 2014 Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan will be making stops at nearly 30 locations, including 13 new destinations. In additions to the new stops, the caravan will also be visiting a pair of cities not visited in previous caravans. The Metro Bus will make a stop in Hamtramck, while the West Bus will debut in Battle Creek.

If fans aren't able to make any of the stops on the Winter Caravan or to TigerFest, they can follow all of the action on social media. In order to give fans the feeling they are traveling on the caravan with the players, the Tigers will be updating their official Twitter (@Tigers), official Twitter en español (@TigresdeDetroit), official Facebook (facebook.com/tigers) as well as the official Instagram (@Tigers) with pictures, video and the latest updates from the Caravan and the 19th annual TigerFest!

For the second straight year, fans will be able to share their experiences and pictures from the Winter Caravan and TigerFest with people from all over the world by using the official hashtag of the Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan (#DETCaravan) and TigerFest (#TigerFest) on Twitter and Instagram. Fans attending TigerFest and following the Detroit Tigers Twitter account (@Tigers) will have the opportunity to participate in exclusive interactive experiences with Tigers players in a unique environment.
