Detroit Lions move Whitehead to MLB in place of injured Stephen Tulloch
DeAndre Levy remains at weak side linebacker
DETROIT – Third-year linebacker Tahir Whitehead looks to be the choice to takeover for Stephen Tulloch at middle linebacker this Sunday, according to the Detroit Lions depth chart.
The Lions' starting MLB Stephen Tulloch tore his ACL last Sunday celebrating a sack against Green Bay.
Whitehead had been starting at strong side linebacker, but will move to MLB this Sunday, while Ashlee Palmer takes his place at strong side. DeAndre Levy will remain in his weak side linebacker position.
Tulloch had started every game at middle linebacker since signing with the Lions in 2011.
Whitehead was a 5th round pick by the Lions in 2012 out of Temple. In three games this year, Whitehead has 5 tackles. He has also forced four fumbles in his career.
