Live chat: Lions battle red-hot Patriots in New England

Lions, Packers tied atop NFC North Division

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The Lions are back in action Sunday, facing the difficult task of battling the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Matthew Stafford and the Lions are coming off a disappointing performance against the Arizona Cardinals in which the team failed to score a touchdown in the 14-6 loss.

That simply won't do against Tom Brady and the charging Pats.

Game time: 1 p.m. ET

After struggling to kick off the season, New England has won six straight games, averaging 40.5 points per game during that stretch. In their last two games, the Patriots beat two of the NFL's best teams, the Broncos and Colts, by 22 points each.

Yeah, six points won't get it done Sunday. Detroit's No. 1 defense will face its toughest task of the season in Gillette Stadium as the Lions try to keep pace with the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North Division.
