Troy Colt Marching Band glides to 4Frenzy victory

More than 170,000 votes cast for best marching band in Metro Detroit

The Troy Colt Marching Band, led by director Brian Nutting, was the runaway winner of our Friday Football Frenzy search for the top band in Metro Detroit. 

TCMB, fueled by more than 40,000 votes from its supporters, emerged from a field of 44 marching bands from across Metro Detroit to earn the 4Frenzy honor. The band is directed by Brian Nutting, director of bands at Troy High School since 2000.

Also, special recognition to band supporters from Walled Lake Northern and Rochester Hills, both who amassed more than 10,000 votes for their bands, and to the 30-plus bands that sent in photos from their performances and rehearsals. 

Friday Football Frenzy's search for the top marching band in Metro Detroit was designed to highlight the hardwork and dedication band members, directors and families put into their performances each school year. We've been blown away by the passion shown for these bands, and clearly see their importance lives on across the region.
