The final shoot-off for Troy Athens and Macomb Dakota high schools

Controversy arose between two local boy’s high school soccer teams, but only one would go on to the state tournament final four.

The heat was on between Troy Athens High School and Macomb Dakota High School.

The game only lasted about five minutes, but since the teams tied in the previous game, a shoot-off was needed for the final decision as to who would go on.

With each team choosing two shooters, each took a shot at moving forward.

In the end, Mason Masias made the save for Troy Athens.
