Silver: Pistons move to Detroit 'enhances' chances to host NBA All-Star Game

Detroit's chances of hosting an NBA All-Star Game are better now that the Pistons are moving back to Detroit.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday that the move back to Detroit "enhances" Detroit's chances of landing the event.

Silver said it "would be great" to bring the event back to Detroit.

NBA All-Star Weekend is one of the biggest sporting events in the United States, drawing huge stars during a three-day weekend of basketball festivities, which include the dunk contest.

Detroit hosted the event in 1959 and 1979.
