Red Wings vs. Maple Leafs (follow game updates here)
It's an Original Six showdown in Toronto. But it's not your average regular season matchup -- this one will be played outside in the cold Canadian air.
Can Toronto top what we saw in Ann Arbor two years ago? The Big House was a winter wonderland filled with more than 100,000 screaming hockey fans. So, no, that probably won't be topped, but Toronto is the center of the hockey universe and these are two of the most storied franchises in sports. This game is a must-watch for any sports fan, especially a Detroit sports fan.
Lions, Packers 'playoff game'
For all intents and purposes, this is a playoff game. The Lions and Packers rivalry will reach a boiling point on Sunday at Ford Field. If ever there was a time to jump on the Lions bandwagon, it's Sunday night.
Yep: That's a 9-and-6 Lions team meeting a 9-and-6 Packers team in the final regular season game of 2016. Both teams will get into the postseason if the Washington Redskins lose at home to the New York Giants, otherwise there are myriad playoff possibilities.
The Lions have an outside chance to earn a first-round bye while Green Bay cannot finish higher than the No. 3 seed in the NFC.
The bottom line: The best case for either team is to win on Sunday.
