The team has many needs, including offensive line, secondary, and linebackers.

Here's who the experts are picking for the Detroit Lions, and what they're saying:

Bleacher Report: Takkarist McKinley, Edge-Rusher, UCLA:  Remember when the Lions had the best defensive line in the NFL? That was yesteryear. Last year, rotation player Kerry Hyder led the team with eight sacks, and no one else had more than 4.5. Ziggy Ansah remains effective when healthy, but opponents had all day to throw when Devin Taylor and Wallace Gilberry were the bookend pass-rushers.

NFL.com: Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama: Questions about Foster's maturity and shoulder could cause the Alabama linebacker to drop down boards. Detroit should be willing to take a chance on his talent at this spot.

NFL.com: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida: Detroit gets their linebacker, who is an old-school, instinctive player who tries to separate the ball from the carrier every play.

CBS Sports: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida: The Lions need help at linebacker more than at any other position, and they should be well positioned to grab a top talent if the top 20 shakes out close to what's projected. Davis has the ability to slot in at any of the three starting spots for Detroit. He should be the perfect long-term starter for the weak side after DeAndre Levy's Lions career ended with a whimper.

24/7 Sports: Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo

ESPN's Mel Kiper: Kevin King, CB, Washington

ESPN's Todd McShay: Takkarist McKinley, DE, UCLA

Walter Football: T.J. Watt, DE/OLB, Wisconsin: T.J. Watt is reportedly rising up boards, and he is the sort of prospect Bob Quinn has drafted thus far. The Lions need help all over their defense, including at defensive end. A dynamic pass-rusher is needed across from Ziggy Ansah, who, by the way, will be an impending free agent after this year.
