DETROIT – He is the outspoken father of one of college basketball's elite players.
LaVar Ball, father of UCLA star Lonzo Ball, is making some bold claims.
In a recent interview with USA Today, the former college athlete said he would have killed Michael Jordan one-on-one.
The claim drew the attention of Pittsburgh Steeler's running back Le'Veon Bell.
Bell took to twitter, bashing the elder Ball's claim.
lol man, Lavar Ball really will say anything for attention...so youu can beat Michael Jordan 1 on 1 in both y'all primes man?! 😩😂 I'm done— Le'Veon Bell (@LeVeonBell) March 14, 2017
Lavar Ball, in '88 when youu averaged that whole 2 points a game at Washington St, Michael Jordan averaged 35 a game with the Chicago Bulls— Le'Veon Bell (@LeVeonBell) March 14, 2017
The Ball father is currently getting national attention after asking for a $1 billion shoe deal for his three sons. One of whom will likely be a top five pick in the NBA draft.
The other two, who are still in high school, are following after their older brother. Both are set to play for the Bruins after they graduate.
