NOVI, Mich. – Detroit Catholic Central High School has filled the spot left by legendary head football coach Tom Mach.

Dan Anderson, who has worked as a teacher, dean of students and defensive coordinator of the football team, will take over the role, the school announced Thursday.

He has big shoes to fill. Mach retired in February after 41 years at the helm of the Shamrocks football program. Under his leadership, Catholic Central won 10 state championships and 17 Catholic League titles.
