Bridges, who was considered a potential NBA lottery pick in the upcoming draft, made the announcement in front of the Spartan statue in East Lansing.
Bridges averaged 16.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 2.1 assists per game as a freshman at MSU. He shot 48.6 percent from the floor and 38.9 percent from 3-point range.
With Bridges returning, the Spartans will likely be a top-five team in preseason rankings and the favorite to win the Big Ten title.
Bridges is a Flint native who committed to the Spartans after starring at Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
