Analytics are so popular in hockey now, it's no surprise there are sites giving these detailed odds after every night of games. It's more fun to watch teams beat the odds.

For instance, back in October the Oilers had a 3.7 percent chance of winning the Cup. On April 13 they had a 2.5 percent chance of winning the Cup, and now they have a 15.6 percent chance of winning it.

Does any of this actually mean anything? Well, MoneyPuck explains how its method for odds calculating correctly predicted the Penguins had the best chance of wining the Stanley Cup last season -- read here.
