Kentucky Derby 2017: Race start time, TV coverage

The 143rd Kentucky Derby is Saturday evening at Churchill Downs. 

The actual race won't start until 6:34 p.m., but NBC coverage will start at 2:30 p.m.

NBC's coverage will be anchored by Mike Tirico and Bob Costas.
