SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – While the basketball world waits for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors to hurry up and meet in the NBA Finals, there’s a much bigger basketball game happening locally.

It’s the annual charity basketball showdown between Local 4 and Fox 2. Your favorite on-air and off-air personalities square off in a friendly, but competitive hoops game. Currently, the trophy resides in Southfield with Fox 2, but Local 4 is hoping to relocate it to Downtown Detroit.

Every game since Local 4’s blowout win in the first year has been decided by four points or less.

The game is Saturday at Hope United Methodist Church in Southfield. Doors open at noon. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. Entry into the game is a $5 donation, with funds raised benefiting Camp Hope.
