NFL: Week 2 picks against the spread
DETROIT – Well, at least I said week one is the hardest to bet on. I sure took it on the chops Sunday, winning just five of the 12 games played. Then, to top it off, I was off on both Monday Night Football games.
If there is anything I can hang my hat on, it’s that I was correct in picking a majority of underdogs last week. I had eight dogs covering, and after the Chargers covered in the final MNF game, there were a total of eight underdogs that covered the spread. It’s the little things.
Overall record after 1 week: 5-9
Week 2 picks:
Thursday, Sept. 14
Houston Texans +5 at Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, Sept. 17
Baltimore Ravens -7.5 vs Cleveland Browns
Carolina Panthers -7.5 vs Buffalo Bills
Indianapolis Colts +7.5 vs Arizona Cardinals
Tennessee Titans -1.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles +4.5 at Kansas City Chiefs
New England Patriots -6.5 at New Orleans Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers -6.5 vs Minnesota Vikings
Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7 vs Chicago Bears
Miami Dolphins +4.5 at Los Angeles Chargers
Oakland Raiders -14 vs New York Jets
Denver Broncos +2.5 vs Dallas Cowboys
Washington Redskins +2.5 at Los Angeles Rams
Seattle Seahawks -13.5 vs San Francisco 49ers
Sunday Night Football
Green Bay Packers +2.5 at Atlanta Falcons
Monday Night Football, Sept. 18
Detroit Lions +4 at New York Giants
That splits me down the middle with eight underdogs and eight favorites.
