Detroit Lions corner Darius Slay says he thinks the Earth is flat

Spoiler alert: Earth is not flat

Darius Slay #23 of the Detroit Lions celebrates his interception against the Atlanta Falcons during the second half at Ford Field on September 24, 2017 in Detroit, Michigan.

DETROIT – Detroit Lions cornerback Darius Slay apparently believes the Earth is flat.

Slay revealed this during an interview with fan submitted questions on Wednesday. Lions reporter Tori Petry asked a fan question about the Earth being flat.

Slay said, "We're walking flat, so how is it round? It's a tricky question. I think it's flat."

We aren't sure if Slay was joking or not, but he didn't seem to be joking in the video.

Tori Petry seemed to imply Slay may have been messing around with her in a tweet later in the afternoon, saying "Darius is always goofing around."

Slay wouldn't be the only athlete to believe the Earth is flat. NBA star Kyrie Irving made headlines last year when he admitted to believing the flat-Earth conspiracy.

Irving said last week that he was just trolling people, but he pushed the idea for quite a while.
