ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan and Michigan State University marching bands will join forces this weekend to create a giant outline of the state, the schools announced.

The Michigan Marching Band and Spartan Marching Band will collaborate for a "State of Michigan" halftime performance during the football game.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Michigan Stadium.

Michigan's band announced the collaboration Wednesday on its Facebook page.

Although the two teams are heated rivals on the football field, it appears the bands will work together to entertain what's sure to be a packed crowd during halftime.
