Michigan and MSU play big games Friday

Both teams hit the road to continue NCAA tournament

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Michigan State and U of M are hitting the road to continue the NCAA battle. State will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to face Duke. Michigan will be heading to Arlington, Texas to battle it out with Kansas.  Tip-off for the Spartans is 9:45 p.m. The Wolverines start their game at 6:37 p.m. Both games are March 29, 2013.

Michigan ripped through VCU Saturday. Mitch McGary had 21 points and 14 rebounds, beating the Rams 78-53.

Gary Harris helped MSU breeze through their win against Memphis. He scored 16 of his career-high 23 points in the first half to give the Spartans 70-48 win.

It's Michigan's first time being in round 16 of the NCAA tournament since 1994. It's MSU's fifth time in six years.
