Big Ten men's basketball tournament schedule set

Here is the schedule for the 2017 Big Ten Men's Basketball tournament this week. 

The 20th annual event will be held March 8-12 at Verizon Center in Washington D.C.

Wednesday -- 1st round

4:30 p.m. -- No. 12 Nebraska vs. No. 13 Penn State
7 p.m. -- No. 11 Ohio State vs. No. 14 Rutgers

Thursday -- 2nd round

Noon -- No. 8 Michigan vs. No. 9 Illinois
2:30 p.m. -- No. 5 Michigan State vs. Nebraska or Penn State
6:30 p.m. -- No. 7 Iowa vs. No. 10 Indiana
9 p.m. -- No. 6 Northwestern vs. Ohio State or Rutgers

Friday -- Quarterfinals 

Noon -- No. 1 Purdue vs. Michigan or Illinois
2:30 p.m. -- No. 4 Minnesota vs. Michigan State, Nebraska or Penn State
6:30 p.m. -- No. 2 Wisconsin vs. Iowa or Indiana
9 p.m. -- No. 3 Maryland vs. Northwestern, Ohio State or Rutgers

The semifinals will be played Saturday afternoon and the championship game will be played Sunday afternoon.
