"It's heartbreaking, losing the championship," said fan Marc Biondo.

It was a great run for the University of Michigan men's basketball team -- one few saw coming.

"We made it this far. No one really thought we would. So, it's is still very exciting," said student and fan Aly Habecker. "It's our senior year and everything. It was something fun to rally behind. It's amazing. It it a great accomplishment."

The last time Michigan made it to the title game was in 1993 with so-called power players the "Fab Fab." They were there to cheer the team on.

"I thought with Chris Webber being there it was going to be like good luck. The Fab Five and all that energy," said freshman fan Carlos Dume. "I'm truly heartbroken ... but you can't be mad at the players."

Now, the focus for fans is on next season -- where it hopefully won't take decades to get back here again.

"They're such a young team. So, next year, they'll be even stronger," said sophomore Michael Nafso.
