Joining People-Jones with Cass Tech is Michigan-commit Jaylen Kelly-Powell. The four-star senior recruit plays runningback and safety for the Technicians. He projects as a safety for the Wolverines.

And another Cass Tech star, Donovan Johnson, appears headed for D1 college football. The senior cornerback is reportedly considering offers from Virginia Tech, Penn State and West Virginia.

Do you get the sense yet that Cass Tech are loaded? There's two more Technicians headed for D1 programs. Guard Jordan Reid is a Michigan State commit, defensive end Zach Morton is headed to Syracuse, OL Kelvin Ateman Jr. committed to Toledo, QB Rodney Hall is going to Northern Illinois, and LB Desean Boyd is committed to Eastern Michigan.

Senior cornerback and all-around playmaker Ambry Thomas will lead Detroit Martin Luther King into the Division 2 finals against Walled Lake Western. Thomas reportedly has offers to play at Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Florida and Pittsburgh, though appears to be leaning toward the Wolverines. Thomas lit up Cass Tech for three TDs earlier this season.

Thomas will matchup in the D2 finals against Walled Lake Western WR Cody White, a Michigan State commit. That could be the matchup to watch at Ford Field this weekend. White is joined on the Warriors by Purdue-commit DT Robert Hudson

Two D1 linebackers will face off in the D3 finals. Michigan-commit Josh Ross will lead Orchard Lake St. Mary's defense against Muskegon LB Andrew Ward, who reportedly has offers from Nebraska, Virginia Tech and Arizona. Look for Muskegon's 5-foot-7 QB Kalil Pimpleton to star in this game running the veer offense. Pimpleton is headed to Virginia Tech next year as a slot receiver. St. Mary's cornerback Richard Bowens III, an Iowa State verbal commit,  will also play a factor.
