DETROIT - Mike Weber rushed for 186 yards and Detroit Cass Tech won its second consecutive Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 state championship with a 36-21 win over Catholic Central on Saturday at Ford Field.
The Technicians also beat the Shamrocks in last year's state title game, 49-13.
Jayru Campbell hit Jourdan Lewis with an 89-yard touchdown pass on the Technicians' first play from scrimmage, and Kenton Gibbs returned a fumble 58 yards for a touchdown 4:35 into the game for a 12-0 lead.
