DETROIT – The Plymouth Whalers have advanced to the OHL's Western Conference semifinal round after eliminating the Guelph Storm in overtime on Sunday.
The Whalers fell behind 2-0 in the opening round series with the 7th-seeded Storm. With a 7-1 victory at Compuware Arena on March 27, Plymouth began its come-from-behind series victory.

They won four games straight to boot out the Storm in six games.
Plymouth topped the Storm 5-2 in Game 4, 9-3 in Game 5 and 2-1 in Game 6.
The Kitchener Rangers are up next for Plymouth. The Rangers topped the Owen Sound in the first round.
The Whalers and Rangers will meet for Game 1 on Friday at Compuware Arena.
