The Whalers were back home on Friday where the rest of the weekend didn't go their way. The Owen Sound Attack jumped to a 3-0 lead in the 2nd period and never turned back, beating the Whalers 5-1 in front of their home crowd.

And the weekend had more bad news for Plymouth as they fell 9-1 to Guelph Storm on Saturday. That was the most goals Plymouth has allowed all season, and the most since Nov. 11 when Guelph beat them 8-4.

The Whalers (37-17-2-1) still sit atop the West Division with 77 points.

Plymouth has back-to-back home games this weekend starting Friday against the Oshawa Generals. The Sudbury Wolves of the Central Division visit Compuware Sports Arena on Saturday.
