Carmelo Anthony NBA Trade rumors: Latest news, buzz, Houston trade talk

Will the Knicks trade Anthony to Houston?

NEW YORK – New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is still a New York Knicks star - but for how much longer?

It's been a rumor filled summer for Carmelo Anthony, who has reportedly flip flopped on wether he wants to be in New York or not.

Back in August, Anthony told the Houston Chronicle that he's at peace with his current situation, but didn't talk about trade rumors, specifically that he wants to be traded to Houston, to join Chris Paul and James Harden.

"It's been an emotional roller coaster," Anthony told the Baltimore Sun when asked to describe the last 12 months since he won a third Olympic gold medal last summer in Rio de Janeiro. "But I've had to find peace, to come to peace with myself and the situation I'm in. Kind of try to find happiness again. I think I lost that a little bit, but I'm finding it, and it feels good."

This week, the New York Daily News reported that Carmelo Anthony's camp is "cautiously optimistic" that he'll be traded to Houston by Monday.

"Two weeks ago, Carmelo's wife, La La, said the family thought a trade would have been completed by now. Mentally, Carmelo and his family have moved on to Houston. Reality is another story."

Carmelo Anthony, now 33-years-old, averaged 22 points per game last season with New York.
