READERS PREDICT: Detroit Lions will go 10-6 in 2017

DETROIT – We asked ClickOnDetroit readers to give us their predictions for the 2017 Detroit Lions season and they are optimistic. 

We received 1,137 reader predictions, of which 260 said the Lions will go 10-6 this season. That's about 23 percent who believe the Lions will improve from a 9-7 record this past season to 10-6 this year. About 14 percent said the Lions will go 9-7 again and about 13 percent said they will go 11-5.

Of course, the Lions could tie a game but we did not offer the option to choose a record with ties due to the rarity. The bottom line here is a plurality of readers who participated in this poll believe the Lions will win 10 games. That's likely enough to win them the NFC North Division. The Lions have not won their division since 1993.

The Lions beat the Indianapolis Colts, 24-10, on Sunday in their first preseason game of the season. Jake Rudock's poise at backup quarterback and rookie WR Kenny Golladay's strong showing should give fans even more confidence in the offense.
