Detroit City FC hosts downtown World Cup viewing party

US takes on Germany at noon Thursday

DETROIT – The World Cup match between the U.S. and Germany at noon Thursday will be screened in downtown Detroit's Cadillac Square.

There will be a food truck rally and outdoor seating. Detroit City FC players will be joining in the fun.

When: 12 p.m. Thursday
Where: Big screen in Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit
Hosts: Campus Martius Park, Detroit City FC, Downtown Detroit Partnership, Fathead, Opportunity Detroit

"With each game, the World Cup is winning over more and more fans to soccer," said Detroit City FC co-owner Sean Mann. "Everyone is talking about the sport this summer, and as DCFC proved minor league soccer can draw thousands to downtown Detroit, we expect a similar excitment for these screening events. We are thrilled so many organizations share our passion for the game and for our city."
