Thousands of characters in Game of Thrones fought for the Iron Throne, but on Friday, July 28, it will be J.D. of House Martinez who rules the Seven Kingdoms.
The news comes just 2 1/2 months after the Tigers' outfielder was gifted a replica of Negan's barbed wire bat from The Walking Dead.
On top of racking up the popular TV show street cred, Martinez is nearing a return to the lineup after missing the first month of the season with injury.
