DETROIT – WDIV announces today that Jeff Wattrick will become managing editor for ClickOnDetroit.com, metro Detroit's number one local TV website.
In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing and integrating news and editorial content across all of WDIV's digital platforms, and helping chart digital strategy for the organization.
Most recently, Wattrick was a Deadline Detroit columnist and MLive Detroit's editorial producer. Wattrick, a former blogger, has also written for Canada's largest newspaper, The Globe and Mail.
"Jeff has the knowledge and understanding to deal with our content on several platforms. Having a talent like him leading our digital enterprises sets us up for long-term success and innovation," says Local 4's News Director Kim Voet.
Wattrick grew up in Grosse Pointe Farms, attended Wayne State University, and lives in Royal Oak, Mich. with his wife. He starts his new position next week.
