Jacqueline Francis is thrilled to be back home covering the stories that matter to Detroiters!

Jacqueline is an award-winning journalist who joined the team in September 2022. Prior to Local 4, she reported for the NBC affiliate in West Michigan.

Her breaking news coverage of the May 2020 riot in downtown Grand Rapids was awarded a regional Edward R. Murrow Award along with two Emmy nominations.

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Jacqueline graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper.

She attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX., earning a bachelor’s degree in Convergence Journalism with a concentration in Political Science.

When she’s not on the job, Jacqueline enjoys taking advantage of all the wonders Michigan has to offer, from ski trips up north to beach days with her dog, Ace.
