John Muir has once said, "the mountains are calling, and I must go."
After living in Michigan her entire life, Elizabeth joined WSLS 10 at the beginning of 2021 and started her career as Daytime Blue Ridge's Producer.
A Michigander who will let you know it, Elizabeth graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Production. She has always had a love for media and all types of it.
Before moving south, Elizabeth worked at a record store in Metro Detroit, volunteered at multiple radio stations and interned at our sister station WDIV Local 4.
Community is a big part of her life, and Elizabeth says that she can't wait to hear the stories of Virginians and continue learning what makes Southwest Virginia special.
When not working, she likes to explore museums, try out new coffee shops and check out local bands.
She is also very excited to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains and hike as many trails as possible.
If you have a story to share and would like to be on Daytime Blue Ridge, send her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Elizabeth also wants to remind you that you can always #MakeTimeForDaytime.
