Vine for Android finally arrives

Vine is no longer exclusive to iPhone users

DETROIT – Android users can rejoice; Vine is finally available for Android.

Vine, a hugely popular and innovative video app, has only been available for iPhone users. Today, Vine officially released the Android version of the application that over 13 million are already enjoying.

Vine is a very simple application. Pick a subject, point your phone at the subject, and hold your finger on the screen to record up to six seconds on video. And while other videos apps may support this function, Vine allows small video clips to be sorted into one video clip, allowing for endless creative video shooting right from your phone.

The Android version of Vine has a different interface, but still offers the great video making experience as its iPhone app. But unlike iPhone, you cannot yet shoot a video using a front face camera, and there is no way to tag people or add hashtags. The app also doesn't provide sharing options as of yet. Surely, those features will arrive soon.

Early indications from users are that the Android app is just as good as the iPhone app.
