Earlier Sunday, Prine won two posthumous Grammys for best American roots song and best American roots performance, a year after receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Grammys. Carlile told The Associated Press that it didn't bother her to be performing without an audience at the pandemic-restricted Grammys because "this time Iโm just performing for John Prine. Corea, who died of a rare form of cancer at age 79, won the trophy for best improvised jazz solo and best jazz instrumental album.

Four women won the top four prizes Sunday, including Swift, who became the first female performer to win album of the year three times. Beyoncรฉ โ with her 28th win โ became the most decorated woman in Grammy history. And 9-year-old Blue Ivy Carter โ who won best music video alongside her mother โ became the second youngest act to win a Grammy in the showโs 63-year history. Megan Thee Stallion, who won three honors, also made history and became the first female rapper to win best rap song. She's also the fifth rap-based act to win best new artist.

Poll: Pandemic hurting Americans' finances in disparate ways
As the coronavirus pandemic drags on, a new poll finds it is having different effects on Americans economic well-being. For some, the virus has meant lost income or struggles to pay bills on time particularly among Hispanic, Black and younger Americans. Meanwhile, the survey also finds about a third of Americans say their investments were negatively impacted during the pandemic. By contrast, Americans without a degree were more likely to have delayed paying bills 26%, compared with 10% of college graduates. Younger Americans were more likely to have lost a job, put themselves at risk of exposure or delayed paying bills, while more older Americans lost investments.
With public shows canceled, fireworks stores seeing uptick in sales
DETROIT Even though major public fireworks shows canceled this year because of coronavirus (COVID-19), people are still planning to celebrate the Fourth of July with a bang. Local fireworks stores are seeing a big uptick in sales. Business has been fantastic, said Robert Bahnke, with Pro Fireworks in Sterling Heights. Fire time fire work buyers are using this fireworks season to experiment because most cities are either canceling or modifying their big shows. Business is also booming at Phantom Fireworks, just up the street, but Sterling Heights Fire Chief Chris Martin said there are some rules you must obey.
COVID-19 antibody testing in Sterling Heights
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. โ With testing for active coronavirus becoming more readily available, thereโs a new push for antibody testing as well. Cities, organizations and employers can request the team to visit; Wednesday they were in Sterling Heights testing essential workers. โWhat this testing will do is give us a better sense of how many people have been infected by the virus,โ said Sterling Heights mayor Michael Taylor. โMaybe thereโs an ability to donate blood and plasma to help other people if we were exposed to it,โ he said. Again, this testing is being done and paid for by the Wayne State Physicians Group, ACCESS and Ford.
Musicians like John Legend, Neil Young performing virtual concerts for fans
Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, organized a live concert on the bandโs Instagram page Monday, which inspired John Legend to do the same thing Tuesday. The best part is that Legendโs wife, Chrissy Teigen, filmed the live concert for fans to watch all across the globe. Rock legend Neil Young announced he would be doing a virtual concert after having to cancel many upcoming tour dates because of the coronavirus. Young is calling it the โFireside Sessions,โ and the concert will be streaming live from his website, Neil Young Archives. Will we see more famous musicians turn their living rooms into intimate concert venues for their fans to watch on the internet in the comfort of their quarantined homes?
Adele and Beyonc duet report a 'joke'
The internet was all abuzz this weekend with news that Adele and Beyonc had apparently collaborated on a song with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. It all started when One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder told radio station Z100 New York that it was happening on the band's new album. "We have one song featuring Beyonc and Adele with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge," Tedder said. But a rep for Tedder told CNN Monday that he was just joking. But my artist of my life is Beyonc," Adele said tearfully.

Martin said two workers had been using an overhead crane to move granite slabs. When those slabs were lifted off their storage rack, others shifted, causing a cascade of slabs to fall. Benjamin Allen Welch, 30, of Warren, and James Alan Jones, 53, of Shelby Township, got pinned by several granite slabs and became trapped.
OSHA investigating fatal incident at Sterling Heights granite business
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - There is new information emerging in what led up to the deaths of two workers at a Sterling Heights granite business on Monday. "They're (employees) very broken up, it's a tight-knit group, so our thoughts and prayers are with them," Sterling Heights Fire Department Chief Chris Martin said. Dozens of large granite slabs shifted and broke. Rescue crews had to move multiple slabs to recover the bodies of the victims. Equipment was used to move the large slabs safely.
