DALLAS (AP) — Luka Doncic had 30 points and 10 rebounds, Kristaps Porzingis added 19 points and seven boards and the Dallas Mavericks beat the Detroit Pistons 127-117 on Wednesday night to stop a four-game home losing streak. The Pistons’ deficit was 16 points by the time Grant finally got back in the flow of the game early in the fourth quarter. The Mavericks had lost five of seven since a season-best five-game winning streak, including a pair of losses to teams with losing records. The injury-plagued Rockets were playing just their fourth game of the season where Christian Wood, Victor Oladipo and John Wall were all available. Wall had 21 points and seven assists, Oladipo had 19 points, and Wood 18 points and 11 rebounds. Rockets: Wall was charged with a flagrant foul on a second-quarter collision with Frank Jackson and later received a technical foul for arguing with officials in the third quarter.
Pistons won’t face Blake Griffin in Saturday night meeting versus Nets
The Detroit Pistons will have to wait a little longer before they face their former star teammate, Blake Griffin. On Friday, the Brooklyn Nets ruled the veteran forward out of Saturday night’s matchup due to left knee injury management. Griffin signed with the Nets earlier this month for the remainder of the season after agreeing to terms with the Pistons on a contract buyout. The Nets have won nine of their past 10 and have gone 17-4 since they traded for James Harden in January. The Pistons won their previous matchup against the Nets last month.mlive.com

Plumlee recorded his first career triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Zion Williamson, the top pick in the 2019 draft, scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds in his first career game against the Pistons. Leonard, Clippers pull away from Knicks for 129-115 win

The Clippers shredded the NBA leaders in fewest points per game allowed to break away after leading by one after two quarters. Los Angeles came back from the locker room with seven straight points and didn't slow down the rest of the third quarter. Leonard and Jackson each scored 10 points in the period, when the Clippers made five 3-pointers and scored 35 points, taking a 101-91 lead to the fourth. Knicks: Reggie Bullock, who missed the last three games with a sore neck, returned to the starting lineup and scored eight points.
