Michigan men charged in Capitol riot cut plea deals in exchange for cooperation with authorities
Five Michigan men accepted plea deals with federal prosecutors, admitting their participation in a riot at the U.S Capitol in exchange for having other charges dropped. Only two men, Dresch and Sorvisto, have been sentenced as of Dec. 23. Three other charges against him were dropped, including disorderly conduct on restricted grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and entering a restricted building. Herendeen was previously convicted of domestic assault, disorderly conduct and operating while impaired twice between 1995 and 2013. Schornak was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2003 and operating while intoxicated in 2001.
