Cassidy will board a NASA plane back to Houston, while Vagner and Ivanishin will fly home to Star City, Russia. Cassidy, returning from his third space mission, has now spent a total of 378 days in space, the fifth highest among U.S. astronauts.

For the first time, they tried a two-orbit approach and docked with the space station in just a little over three hours after lift-off. Ryzhikov, who will be the stationโs skipper, said the crew will try to pinpoint the exact location of a leak at a stationโs Russian section that has slowly leaked oxygen.
