$850K I-75 project to start in January

MDOT says bridges in need of repairs

DETROIT – The Michigan Department of Transportation announced Thursday an $850,000 repair project to begin the second week of January.

MDOT said after inspecting bridges over Interstate 75 in Oakland County it became apparent that repair work would be needed before the summer construction season.

This means starting next month lanes will be closed near 12 Mile Road. The lane closures, in both directions, are expected to last until March as crews work to repair bridges in the area.

Lanes on 12 Mile Road will be closed, too. Ramps also will be affected.
