Driver veered from eastbound lanes into westbound lanes, police say

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 22-year-old West Bloomfield man was killed Tuesday when his car crossed the median of M-14 neat Gotfredson Road and hit an oncoming SUV, Michigan State Police said.

Police said the man's Honda Civic veered from the eastbound lanes and into the westbound lanes, where it was hit by a 43-year-old Beverly Hills woman in an Acura RDX.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 23-year-old passenger who was in the car with him is in critical condition at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor.
