DETROIT – A person was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning on Gratiot Avenue near St. Aubin Street in Detroit.
The driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Gratiot Avenue was closed in both directions between East Vernor Highway and St. Aubin Street.
It has since reopened to traffic.
