BERKLEY, Mich. - The intersection between 12 Mile and Coolidge roads in Berkley is complete and will be opened to traffic on Monday.

Project officials said they finished a week ahead of schedule.

Businesses remained open during the constructions and the owners are glad to see the barricades removed.

"Its been a rough couple of months for us," said Sam Gulli, a Berkley business owner. "We're grateful that the city stayed on top of it."

Officials and local business owners participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new intersection which is expected to re-open after 1 p.m.
