Michigan traffic lights out -- here's what to do at a 4-way stop

Who has the right-of-way?

DETROIT – The massive power outages have left several Michigan intersections without a traffic signal.

Police caution drivers to treat those intersections as 4-way stops.

According to Michigan State Police, the right-of-way rule states "when two vehicles enter an intersection from different highways at approximately the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right of way to the vehicle on the right."

Watch the explanation above.

Police said drivers should also use common sense and common courtesy.
