Sashabaw Road is being widened from I-75 to just south of Clarkston Road in Independence Township. The project is expected to be completed in the fall.

I-75 construction in Oakland County will also be ongoing during the summer concert season.

There will be bridge repairs on the freeway between South Boulevard and Baldwin Road and resurfacing of the roadway between South Boulevard and Giddings Road.

The Michigan Department of Transportation said drivers should expect double lane closures with two lanes open in each direction via traffic shift at all times. Only one lane will be open in each direction on nights and weekends.

Work on the project is also expected to be finished in the fall.

The DTE Energy Music Theatre season kicks off Sunday with Slayer.

The parking lot opens at 1:30 p.m., gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to account for traffic that will be caused by construction.
