Warm weather trend starts Tuesday
Detroit temperatures near 70 degrees
Tuesday morning will become drier with breaks in the clouds and relatively mild conditions.
Low temperatures will be near 50 degrees in the city and in the middle and upper 40s in the rest of Southeast Michigan. Partly sunny skies will develop with afternoon highs near 70 degrees and a light southwest wind.
Tuesday night will have some on and off showers and thunderstorms with lows in the 50s.
Wednesday and Thursday will be even warmer. Highs will reach 80 degrees or more. Each day will be partly sunny with scattered afternoon showers and storms so students and parents will need to pack umbrellas.
Friday and Saturday will not be as summer-like, but temperatures will be in the middle 70s. Showers and storms will dot the Detroit area landscape again to help area gardens and lawns.
Sunday will be more settled with drier air and highs in the low 70s.
