Mostly cloudy Monday ahead of Tuesday storm

Winter Storm Watch in SE Michigan begins Tuesday afternoon

The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Storm Watch for all of SE Michigan that starts Tuesday afternoon. There's a big storm coming that will bring significant wet and heavy snow. The one variable that could limit snow totals is some rain as the storm first approaches. But there will be heavy bands of snow into Tuesday night dropping as much as 3-6" or more across the area.

In the meantime we are setting up for a pretty nice Monday before the storm moves in. Mostly cloudy to start the day but the clouds will be moving out and the sun will be in and out most of the daylight hours Monday. Highs will reach upper 30s after morning lows in the upper teens to low 20s.
