Despite being late July you may need a sweater, umbrella

DETROIT – Cloud cover may keep some of our Metro Detroit neighborhoods from hitting 80 degrees, but we are still enjoying a very nice end of the work week. Skies remain mostly cloudy with rain on radar to the west and north of SE Michigan. Most of it is drying up as it enters the area but a late afternoon or evening isolated shower is a possibility. Most of the rain along a cold front will come overnight and early Saturday.

Scattered Saturday morning showers and storms will give way to mostly cloudy skies and just a few light scattered rain showers in the afternoon. Highs should only manage the middle 70s with a few clouds and showers around. Plus, the cold front passing will be a difference maker especially as we head into early Sunday. We should wake up Sunday in the mid 50s with some 40s in the suburbs. Computer models are leaning toward a few isolated showers Sunday with cool temps closer to 70 degrees. But most of us will be mostly dry most of the weekend.

Track temps on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store. Plus, stay right on top of the radar through the weekend with us.
