Becoming much colder Sunday night

Lows near 20

DETROIT – Sunday night will be mostly cloudy and colder. Much colder air rushes in behind the storm and sends temperatures plummeting to 20 degrees by Monday morning.

Monday will be colder with temps in the low 20s and a chance of periodic snow showers.

Christmas Eve, Tuesday, and Christmas Day, Wednesday will have frigid mornings and very cold afternoons. Tuesday will be partly sunny with a morning low in the single digits and afternoon highs in the upper teens. Wednesday will have snow showers for a White Christmas with temps starting below 10 degrees just as Santa returns to the North Pole. Afternoon temps will be in the middle and upper 20s for Christmas dinner.
