Snowy start to Saturday

Highs in the low 30s

DETROIT – On the 68th straight day of snow cover in Detroit, more will be added Saturday morning. Motor City area residents will wake up with light snow and temperatures in the middle and upper 20s. Any families going to Autorama early will need to factor in extra time in to Cobo Center in Detroit. Morning will be the slipperiest time of day. Snow will become more scattered by lunchtime. Accumulations will be around one inch or less.

Saturday afternoon will have will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered snow early. Temperatures will be in the low 30s with a northerly wind at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday evening will be mostly to partly cloudy with temps falling into the 20s. Roads will be dry for sports fans traveling to and from Crisler Center in Ann Arbor for Michigans final regular season men's basketball game at 6pm ET. 

Saturday night will be fair and cold with lows near 15 degrees by Sunday morning. 

Sunday will be bright and chilly with highs in the low 30s, again. A warm-up occurs Monday with temps catapulting back to the middle 40s with sunshine. Southeast Michigan needs to remain on guard for winter weather because Tuesday and part of Wednesday could see accumulating snow, again.
