Chance for drizzle, pockets of flurries on 1st day of spring

DETROIT – Hello Spring! We have been waiting for you.

Temps are cooling a bit this morning and the breezes are still blowing around making feel a bit crisp as you head out. Radar is not real active, but don't be surprised if you get a little drizzle and/or flurry activity early today.

With cloudy skies and some lingering moisture around, our computer models are showing signs of a few light snow pockets later this morning too. It will not be much at all and is nothing to worry about. Highs Thursday will rebound back to near 40 degrees with breezy conditions W 10-20 mph. The official start of Spring is 12:57 PM today.

Friday will be mild with highs in the mid 40s or perhaps a bit warmer with some neighborhoods reaching 45-50°with mostly cloudy skies. There is another chance for a light rain by Friday evening and we could see a rain/snow mix early Saturday.

Weekend temps start mild with low 40s on Saturday and then cooling Sunday.

You can expect temps between 20-30° to end the weekend Sunday and linger with cool conditions into Monday. Early signs show a chance for 1" of snow on Tuesday. But, temps do warm back up into the middle of next week.
