Cool start to your Wednesday morning

Highs will be in the neighborhood of 50°

DETROIT –  A cool start in the mid 30s this morning under mostly cloudy skies, but that's right where we should be for early April in SE Michigan.

We will see partly cloudy skies later this morning and into the afternoon as highs will be in the neighborhood of 50°.

Some of our northern counties may stick in the upper 40s, while we do expect many of you around Metro Detroit to get into the low 50s.

Winds will be light from the W 5-10 mph. Bring the light jackets with you Wednesday to the Tiger's game.

Wet weather will move in from the south late Wednesday and early Thursday with a chance for a little freezing rain tomorrow morning.

And, a wintry mix in our far northern counties into the Thumb Region.

Thursday's Tiger game could be delayed as a wave of heavier rain will be arriving around lunch time.

We may see a bit of isolated thunder too, but temps will be cooler tomorrow in low to maybe mid 40s.

We can expect another wave of rain and thunder on Friday in the middle of the day.

So again, the afternoon Tiger game could see some delays. You can expect to feel warmer air, well into the mid 50s to end the work week.

Saturday may start early with a light rain shower or few wet before we start to dry out for the weekend.

Saturday highs will be in the upper 40s with breezy conditions and Sunday looks like the better of the two weekend days.

We will let you know if there are any shifts in the forecast.
